Connect the WM Remote via LAN
Proceed as follows to connect the WM Remote via LAN connection:
- Connect the VCI cable by using a T10 screwdriver (not included in the delivery contents) to the WM Remote.
- Connect the VCI plug of the WM Remote with the diagnostic connection of the vehicle and proceed as follows:
CAUTION
Short circuit and voltage peaks when connecting the VCI
Danger of destruction of automotive electronics
Switch off ignition before connecting the VCI to the vehicle.
NOTICE
Switch on the vehicle ignition again after having connected the VCI to the vehicle. Communication is impossible without ignition switched on.
NOTICE
After having connected the VCI the orange LED lights up permanently after a few seconds. This indicates that the WM Remote hardware is ready for operation.
- Connect the VCI plug of the WM Remote via LAN cable to the shop router.
NOTICE
The green LED is flashing fast now. This indicates that the WM Remote tries to establish a LAN connection.
If the green LED flashes faster, the WM Remote has LAN connection.
If the green and orange LEDs are permanently on, the WM Remote is connected to the server and ready for operation.
- After having connected the WM Remote with the vehicle, use the browser of the PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone to call up https://wm-remote.com and enter the registration data.
- Select the requested service in the menu and do the subsequent steps.
